Our Step By step chimney cleaning process

  • The first step in the chimney cleaning process is an inspection

    The inspection will determine if there are any repairs that need to be done as well as how built up the creosote is in the chimney. – We will inspect your fireplace and firebox, damper, chimney interior, exterior and top including the cap.

  • Second step of the chimney cleaning process

    We protect both your home interior and the work environment.
    Using drop cloths and state of the art HEPA filtered Vacuum systems to contain soot, debris and dust, for a NO MESS GUARANTEE PROCESS!

  • Third Step

    We use brushes and extendable rods to sweep the flue, hand brushes for the fireplace firebox and smoke chamber. Chimney Cleaning Atlanta sweeps the inside of your chimney, from the firebox floor all the way to the chimney top. Than we change the direction of the rotor brush and run the brushes back down in to the fireplace. We repeat this process as needed.

  • The fourth Step is post inspection

    The final step – we provide a written report upon completion to serve as a record of the service performed and to document any recommendations and repairs that may be needed based on the inspection findings.

A. The sour wood smoke odor you smell is creosote inside a dirty chimney reacting with hot, humid summer air or rain entering the chimney. The best way to eliminate this odor is to clean the chimney to remove the creosote. Installing a chimney cap to deflect rain may also be required.
